Fish are a commonly seen image on Chinese New Year’s decorations. Changi think fish definitely means good fortune for her…just in a slightly different way! The Chinese text: “nian nian you yu” or “Have abundance (lit: extra or surplus) every year”…”Yu” is also the pronunciation for fish, and I’m sure Changi would certainly enjoy a wish to have plenty of fish every year!
